Composer pianist and ClimateKeys founder Lola Perrin presents an evening of film, piano, spoken word and audience dialogue on solutions to environmental and ecological breakdown.


The event starts with the campaign film Save Oglet Shore by Phil Maxwell & Hazuan Hashim


Lola will perform Piano Suite IX: ‘Significantus’ (Lola Perrin 2016) composed from writings by climate change researchers. The performance is a collaboration with local poet Ged Thompson who will recite in between the piano pieces.


Guest speaker Samantha Fletcher will give a talk and facilitate a conversation in the audience with a focus on Extinction Rebellion’s third aim; a National Citizens’ Assembly to oversee the changes necessary to limit the temperature rise.

Biographies


Lola Perrin is a composer, pianist and founder of ClimateKeys, an initiative that combines live music with guest speaker talks and audience dialogue on action on climate change. To date over sixty concerts have been held in thirteen countries. ClimateKeys has a no-fly policy and is performed by musicians collaborating with local speakers. www.climatekeys,com


Ged Thompson is a Liverpool poet.


Samantha Fletcher: Over the course of the past ten years Samantha has taught, and researched, a range of subject matters including, but not limited to, global justice, policing, surveillance, security, transnational organised crime, crimes of the powerful, research methods in social sciences, green criminology, crimes against humanity, and matters of social harm.


Phil Maxwell & Hazuan Hashim are collaborative artists, filmmakers, photojournalists and educationalists who have . exhibited all over the world including the Middle East. Their work covers documentary and experimental film. They have collaborated with composers Michael Nyman, Lola Perrin, Deirdre Gribbin and Simon Rowland-Jones, theatre director Lou Stein, dancers Mavin Khoo, Seeta Patel and Kamala Devam and painter Alice Sielle.
