CLIMATEKEYS - POLISH PREMIERE AT THE XXVIII FESTIVAL
On Friday, March 25 on the Teatr Powszechny w Łodzi Small Stage as part of the XXVIII Festival, the Polish pre-premiere performance of "Climate Keys" took place. This is a concert-ecological project, on which a piano recital was performed by Joanna Wicherek, combined with a lecture on ecology (it was led by Małgorzata Smolak).
The collusion of these two fields, seemingly unparalleled, changed both the form of communication and the acceptance of the problem of responsibility for the environment in which we live. This reflection was dedicated to air pollution in the context of Łód odzi and the phenomena that most affect łódzian. How does air pollution affect our health? What generates the biggest air pollution we breathe? Who and in what extent is responsible for air pollution in Łód odzi and the region, that is how our neighbors are poisoning us and what does the łódka anti-smog legislation say? These are some of yesterday's lecture and discussion of topics.
The "Climate Keys" project was started by English pianist and composer Lola Perrin. In 2016, Perrin, concerned about climate change, asked a question we all should ask ourselves: “What can I do to stop environmental degradation? What can I do for climate protection? “. Perrin's author's idea met with incredible enthusiasm, that's why she decided to include pianists from all over the world in her action. At this point, her list has nearly 200 invited musicians. There is only one Polka among them - Joanna Wicherek. Thank you for yesterday's meeting!
